Open Age Regional Level 4

 Alia  Alia Disu – Alia competed in the age 10 category of the competion against 30 other competitors this years competition was a large one! Starting on the vault Alia performed 2 very clean half on half off vaults. Bars- Alia was competing her giants for the second time outside of the gym and making it round her giants she tried to put her feet on slightly early for the dismount which nearly made her fall however she fought hard and got her feet on finishing her dismount with just a small step. Beam- Alia brought grace to her beam with beautiful leaps and a solid spin, her acro series did not go to plan which is not like Alia however she kept her cool and stayed on the beam finishing with a round off tuck back dismount. Floor- Alia danced her way through her floor routine nicely with strong tumbles and big leaps Alia had a good competition scoring enough to move up to level 3 next year Alia placed 6th AA. Well done Alia
 Jodie I  Jodie Iveson  -On Vault Jodie performed half on half off, after having a long term injury Jodie has not been vaulting as much in the gym so to perform what vaults she did was fabulous only having a small step on her landings. Bars- Jodie was competing her newly learnt routine with her giants preforming them once outside the gym before Jodie got through her routine with an absolute breeze and landed her dismount without a flicker. Beam- Jodie had a really good beam routine nailing all her skills however had an uncharacteristic fall between linking her dismount shook it off got up and landed her sommersalt. Floor- Jodie competed a good floor routine with clean tumbles and leaps as mentioned earlier Jodie has been struggling with injury so managing to preform floor and vault was a great achievement for her. Jodie placed 6th AA well done Jodie.
 Eden  Eden Dickens- Vault- Eden preformed two very clean vaults both of Eden’s vaults was half on half off with only a small step on each this was a good start for Eden. Bars- Eden produced a very clean and tidy routine with her clear hip on the low bar linking the routine nicely this was a good piece for Eden. Beam- Eden danced her way through her routine to the point you would forget she was on a beam only slight correction’s on skills throughout Eden had a very clean beam routine. Floor- Eden has been working on being more expressive with her floor routine and dancing her way through it and it is showing with a good strong first tumble and good leaps Eden did experience a fall on her final tumble of a straight front however she got herself up and finished off her routine. Eden finished 10th AA. Well done Eden.
 eve  Eve Milburn- Vault- Eve competed two very strong vaults running down the vault run extremely fast gave her the power to preform two clean half on half offs. Bars- Eve produced a clean bar routine without any stops Eve was working hard on her casts throughout her routine and it showed. Beam- Eve went through a nice beam routine with her split change and her flick only having slight wobbles on some elements this was a good routine for Eve. Floor- Eve produced a very powerful floor routine with strong tumbles and good leaps throughout Eve finished on a powerful straight front with only the smallest step on landing this was a great competition for her. Eve finished 2nd AA. Well done Eve
 Maisie A  Maisie Axton – Vault – keeping with the form of the rest of the level 4′s Maisie competed 2 half on half off vaults very cleanly landing one dead this was a good start for her. Bars- Maisie unfortunately experienced 2 falls on her squat on within her routine giving herself a quick breather Maisie got up and continued her routine trying hard to make her handstand on the high bar. Beam- Maisie has faced her demons on beam breaking her fear of going backwards Maisie competed a very confident backward walkover landing it dead this was a great achievement for her Maisie went through a clean beam routine. Floor- Maisie has been working hard on linking her round off flick from her front salto walkout and she did so extremely well finishing off with a strong straight front this was a good routine for her. Maisie finished 6th AA. Well done Maisie – This was Maisie’s last competition for Coalville gymnastics club as she has made the hard decision to quit gymnastics to following her dancing dreams we wish you all the best of luck Maisie.
