National Finals 2016

This year Coalville had 2 gymnasts competing in finals with 1 reserve

Level 3 -

For level 3 we had Evie Axton starting off on beam is always a shakey piece to start on Evie managed to stay on the routine however did miss some of her linked combinations. Onto floor Evie put out a great routine showing a nice high full twist along with a powerful straight front, Evie danced her way through her routine well, this was a good piece for her. Onto vault Evie is known for her power and showed a very strong yurchenko which was a great score for the team. Moving onto bars after performing a lovely routine in warm up, in competition her clear just come out too short for her to carry on her routine so took the stop and finished with a nailed dismount. All in all this was a good competition for Evie well done.

Level 4 -

For the level 4 team we had Brogan Hardwick and Charley Kirk as the reserve throughout the warm up Charley got to warm up all of her routines so she was ready in case she was needed. Starting on beam Brogan experienced a fall on her full spin and a very uncharacteristic fall on her acro series however she dusted herself off and finished with a very strong dismount. Onto floor Brogan danced her way through her routine really showing it off to the crowd and enjoying what she was doing, this was a beautiful routine for her. Onto vault Brogan has been working hard on her power within training and it showed performing a nice strong half on. Moving on to bars after loosing her handguards and managing to borrow Evie’s Brogan was a bit shaky however got through her warm up cleanly, coming to her competition she did experience a fall on her squat on however finished off her routine well. This was a great experience for Brogan being down at nationals and a great achievement also. Well done Brogan
