The Sandra Clarke cup was set up by Claire Starkey in memory of her mum who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. The Sandra Clarke is a small friendly international competition which took place at the beginning of October. The team was selected from a control competition within regional training. Emily Pike was selected to represent the East Midlands for the competition. This was a massive achievement for Emily during a very busy competition year for her.
Emily had a good day landing her double back dismount for the first time off bars which was a great achievement for her. Emily had a solid floor and a strong vault, unfortunately she experienced a few falls on the beam however that didn’t shake the team and the East Midlands came 3rd overall which was a brilliant success.
