Coalville have started up a leadership academy within the club which is aimed at children aged 11-17. The leadership academy gives the participants to see the other paths of gymnastics and explore them further which is a great opportunity for them.
The leadership academy explores- Coaching, Judging, Welfare, Event Organisation and more. Everything they achieve during their time in the academy looks great on their CV’s. In order to complete the academy there are sections which have to be completed whether it be attending events to help, attend different courses to do with gymnastics and add on’s such as first aid. Organise their own events, achieve a set amount of volunteering hours and complete some planning sheets.
The Academy give the leaders the chance to find their voice, gain confidence, learn new things, make friends and give them more to their gymnastics then their training sessions.
