Judging Success For The New Cycle

As some of you may be aware judges have to revalidate every 4 years as the code changes. This is a very stressful time for judges trying to identify new rules, different changes and new moves. The exam in which they have to carry out involves both theory and practical papers.

The different levels of judging are as follows:

Club – first level

Regional- second level

National – third level

Brevet- forth level (this has 4 different categories starting at cat 4 and cat 1 being the highest)

At the beginning of the year the Brevets had their course and exam and i am pleased to say that once again Katherine Boden (Brand) passed her brevet exam in the category 2 level which is fabulous news for Katherine and Coalville.

Then the national judging course took place in which we had Karen Edwards, June Edwards and Judith Brand. All three of them have been national judges in the past and all passed once again! Brilliant news for all three judges and brilliant for Coalville

The regional course has just taken place beginning of the month in which we had Linda Thompson taking the course and exam in which she was trying to maintain her regional judging title which she did passing her exam as well! Brilliant news for Linda and Coalville

The next course to take place later on in the year is the Club judge course in which we have Melanie Jurkowski attending for her first taste of judging it is brilliant for Coalville to have some new members taking interest in the system and we wish her all the luck to get her through the course and exam.

A massive well done to all that have taken their exams and passed and good luck to those who are yet to take their exam! Brilliant judging success for our club.
